Comments: A must have, notepad.exe sucks. This zip will replace it with the much better metapad.exe. Small and well coded. You won't find a better small text editor, believe me I've looked, until I finally found this little gem. If you're not sure if it's worth replacing notepad, just try this and you will be converted.

the reg file
the reg file was made by creagcridhe to replace notepad.exe in windows xp, so when you double click on a text file metapad comes up instead, also works for all other text formats. The metapad author does NOT support this reg file, please don't bother him about it. post on http://willtruth.net/forums/ if you have any question about the reg file. If you're not sure about modifying your windows registry don't use it. May not work on ME or 2000 systems. Lets work towards a microsoft free world.
